Every Piece Tells A Story

This Fall, we've introduced new textures combining contemporary design with Andean, hand woven textiles. Modern shapes give the traditional craft a fresh outlook without compromising quality. Every piece is made by hand and naturally dyed.

Awamaki empowers rural Andean women and connects them to global markets so that they can earn an income and transform their communities. We believe that giving women access to income is the best way to reduce poverty. We build women's capacity in technical, administrative and leadership skills. Then,we connect them directly to global markets through programs in fair trade artisanal products and sustainable tourism.

We are a non-profit social enterprise working with seven partner cooperatives and 130 women in Peru’s Sacred Valley.

Proud of our principles

Awamaki is now part of a network of over 250 fair trade businesses after joining the Fair Trade Federation (FTF), a trade association that strengthens and promotes North American organizations fully committed to fair trade.
